With the report now in Mkhwebane’s possession, Van Loggerenberg said the report is riddled with ‘lies, disinformation and fraudulent claims’.
She said the crowdfunding campaign was prompted by a ruling which still, in her view, ‘unfairly separated the public protector from Busisiwe Mkhwebane’.
There were thousands of sad stories with happy endings where her office had intervened, but that good work hasn’t been publicised, she said.
The public protector used yet another public platform to hit out at her detractors and the media.
